Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, Minister of Culture, the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Lamia Zayed, excelled in pleasing its audience within the activities of its summer festival for music and singing on the open stage with a special concert during which the Aaz El Nas band, led by Maestro Maged Sorour, shone with a bouquet of the most beautiful traditional and contemporary songs, including “I swear by her sky, yes by God, I have never been touched by love, Aaz El Nas, my beloved son, his eyelash, the heel of a gazelle, tonight, oh brown-skinned woman, I dream of you, staying up all night, flying, oh wind, there was a butterfly, he guides you, pleases you, and as she is her love.”

Amidst a large audience interaction and attendance, the concert’s segments represented an exceptional opportunity for lovers of authentic art to enjoy musical masterpieces that carry within them memories of the past and the pulse of the present in a unique modern style.
It is worth mentioning that the Aaz El Nas band presents a variety of musical styles while keeping up with the times in musical distribution on different musical instruments. It was established by its artistic director, Dr. Sameh Abdel Aziz, in 1998 and was composed of a number of male and female students from the Ain Shams University Choir. Then, Dr. Maged Sorour took over its leadership, helping to achieve the band’s goals of restoring and reviving the splendor of the musical heritage and creating a number of distinguished voices that perform the works of art giants such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Warda, Shadia, Fairuz and others, putting them on the path to success and fame.
