وزارة العمل: تسوية نزاعات بين العمال وأصحاب الأعمال بالإسماعيلية والدقهلية

Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Labor issued a report on the activity of the labor directorates in the governorates, which included:

1- Labor Directorate in Cairo

The Cairo Labor Directorate organized an educational symposium for occupational safety and health at the Al-Ahram Foundation headquarters, in the presence of 75 employees of the institution and some other establishments. Ahmed Azaz, First Undersecretary of the Ministry and Director of the Directorate, explained that this comes within the Directorate’s intensive activities in the field of spreading the culture of occupational safety and health in the work environment. The importance of educating workers in establishments, and within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Muhammad Gibran, to the labor directorates in the governorates, to intensify efforts and cooperate with all Ministries and concerned authorities, to accelerate the achievement of the goals of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building.”

He added that the symposium covered topics including the history of occupational safety and health, its importance in work sites to reduce work injuries, the role of occupational safety and health in the work environment, the risks to which workers are exposed and how to confront them, and fire and electrical risks.

2- Alexandria Labor Directorate

The Labor Directorate in Alexandria Governorate concluded the free vocational training program for 11 trainees in the mobile maintenance profession at the mobile unit in Ghait al-Enab in Bashayer al-Khair, within the framework of implementing the directives of Minister Mohamed Gibran to pay attention to the vocational training file.

Engineer Mohamed Kamal, Undersecretary of the Labor Directorate in Alexandria, explained that the theoretical and practical selection for these trainings was held after the end of the one-month training period, in accordance with the developments and needs of the labor market at home and abroad, and to motivate young people to benefit from the Ministry’s services in this regard, and to develop the vocational training system, especially in Technical fields in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and cooperation with the private sector to benefit from its expertise in this field. The conclusion of the activities was attended by Dalia Abdel Al Majeed, Director of Training Centers Administration.

3- Labor Directorate in Dakahlia

The Mit Ghamr Labor Office, affiliated with the Dakahlia Labor Directorate, held a settlement session between workers of a company transporting petroleum products, where the worker submitted a complaint to the office to settle the dispute between him and the aforementioned company. Ahmed Rajaei, director of the directorate, explained that the office succeeded in bringing the viewpoints between the two parties closer together to settle the dispute amicably. Pointing out that the dispute was settled amicably, and both parties obtained their rights. The necessary report was prepared, signed by both parties, and the complaint was filed after it was settled amicably, without the need to refer it to the court. Labor.

The Director of the Directorate added that in the same context, Mohamed Ali, Director of the Gamasa Office, held a friendly settlement session for one of the workers who had filed a complaint with the Labor Office against New Hope Egypt Technology Limited to deduct part of his monthly salary in the presence of the company’s representative, and the settlement succeeded in the worker obtaining all his financial dues and releasing A report of reconciliation between the two parties and the worker’s waiver of his complaint.

4- Directorate of Labor in Sharqia

Ahmed Abdel Hadi, Director of the Directorate of Labor in Sharqia, opened an expanded symposium on occupational safety and health entitled “Work Hazards in the Engineering Sector,” in coordination with the Engineers Syndicate in Sharqia, under the patronage of Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran and Governor of Sharqia, Hazem Al-Ashmouni.

The Director of the Directorate explained that the symposium witnessed the participation of 105 members of the Engineers Syndicate, and aims to spread the culture of occupational safety and health and reduce injuries in establishments. A cooperation protocol was signed between the Directorate and the Engineers Syndicate to implement workshops and awareness initiatives on the sidelines of the symposium’s activities. He added that the symposium included specialized scientific lectures on occupational safety and health legislation and labor law decisions, and prizes were presented to the winners in an interactive activity on safety.

5- Minya Labor Directorate

The Directorate of Labor in Minya, the Department of Women, Motherhood and Childhood Affairs, and the Equal Opportunities Unit at the General Office of Minya Governorate, participated in organizing an awareness seminar for the local unit in the village of Abiha, Abu Qarqas Center (Amna Village), one of the villages for a decent life, in the presence of (30) women and girls in the village entitled “Economic Empowerment of Women and Combating… Violence against women,” and Dr. Magda Salah, Director of the Labor Directorate in Minya, explained the free services it provides. The Directorate of Labor conducted mobile vehicle training for girls and women with breadwinners aged 18-45 years, as well as at the vocational training center in the industrial zone, and employment of young people of both sexes in factories and companies. It spoke about the gender equality unit in the directorate and its role in awareness and protection, as well as about establishing a unit to combat child labor. It spoke about occupational safety and health and its goals. Its areas, work environment risks, and emergency plan.

6- South Sinai Labor Directorate

The South Sinai Labor Directorate organized a symposium to raise awareness of the provisions of the labor law, follow up on new appointments, and follow up on the implementation of the minimum wage at a hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh, in the presence of 50 hotel workers. Wafa Najah, Director of the Directorate, explained that this comes in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, and Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai. Sinai, by paying attention to strengthening labor relations between both sides of the production process, workers and employers, and educating workers about their rights and duties guaranteed to them by Labor Law No. 12. The Met Salsil Labor Office and the management of the mobile training unit affiliated with the Labor Directorate in Dakahlia held final exams for training courses for 28 girls in the profession of detailing and sewing, and for 16 young men in the plumbing and electrical profession. Ahmed Rajai, Director of the Directorate, handed them certificates approved by the Labor Directorate after they passed the final exams. The training course, indicating that these efforts come in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, to intensify training courses to qualify young people for the market. 8- Ismailia Labor Directorate

The Labor Directorate in Ismailia Governorate organized a symposium in the field of combating addiction, in cooperation with the Fund for Combating Addiction and Abuse, at the headquarters of the Labor Directorate, with the participation of 6 employees of the anti-addiction system. It addressed several topics, including: the importance of raising awareness of the effects that result from addiction, both within the labor market and on society as a whole. In general, the types of drugs and their forms, and their devastating effects on the addict’s psychological, social, and physical health, and methods of treating them through government hospitals, and presenting the story of A real one for an addict who has recovered from addiction with the help of the Addiction Fund, and providing quick service phone numbers for any addict who wants help in quitting addiction, within the framework of the efforts of the Directorate and its agencies to carry out their assigned tasks in spreading awareness and education of the most important societal issues and their dangers to the individual and society and to working within the facilities. Various diseases, and how to prevent them in cooperation and coordination with the concerned authorities specialized in serving the people of the governorate.

Hassan Raddad, Director General of the Ismailia Labor Directorate, explained that these seminars come in light of implementing the directives of the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, to pay attention to raising awareness and educating workers about the dangers of addiction to the individual and society, as well as about all societal issues that concern the labor market and workers, increase production, and provide a safe and stable work climate. 9- Ismailia Labor Directorate

The Ismailia Labor Directorate succeeded in settling the labor dispute that recently broke out in a company working in the poultry field, which employs more than 750 workers, through intense negotiations that lasted for more than two weeks. A satisfactory solution was reached for both parties, which led to the resumption of work normally.

Hassan Raddad, Director of the Ismailia Labor Directorate, explained that these efforts come within the framework of implementing the directives of the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, to the labor directorates in the governorates, regarding the necessity of intensifying efforts, to provide services to citizens in a decent and dignified manner, strengthening labor relations between the two parties of production, and the continuous presence of workers in establishments and ensuring Oversight of the implementation of the provisions of the law through the agencies affiliated with the directorates in the governorates, and he added that the directorate has formed a specialized committee to look into the complaint submitted by The workers’ demands were listened to and negotiated with the company’s management and workers’ representatives.

Raddad added that the committee succeeded in finding practical solutions to the problems that were raised, which contributed to the return of calm to the factory. 10- Beni Suef Labor Directorate

Ahmed Moawad, Director of the Beni Suef Labor Directorate, handed over 11 employment contracts to people of determination from the people of the governorate, at the headquarters of the Directorate’s General Office. The Director of the Directorate explained that this comes within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Gibran, to pay attention to integrating people of determination into the labor market and providing decent and appropriate job opportunities in implementation of the President’s directives. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and added that the handover activities were attended by: Ahmed Mahmoud Taha, Director of the Beni Suef Region, and Alaa Ramadan, Director Beni Suef Inspection Office.
