El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Engineer Abdel Muttalib Mamdouh Emara, Governor of Luxor, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities for Infrastructure Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

Upon arrival at the university headquarters, the Prime Minister and his entourage received Dr. Adel Zein El-Din Moussa, President of the University, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, where the Prime Minister toured the university campus, accompanied by an explanation from its president about its educational capabilities and services. He witnessed a lecture in the field of wood industry technology.

During his presence in the lecture, the Prime Minister assured the students that the state pays special attention to the expansion of technological colleges, as it considers it an unconventional idea that contributes to finding a path that combines the academic and applied sides, as it provides integrated educational and training services of a quality comparable to international quality systems, allowing the formation of A graduate capable of competing in local, regional and global labor markets.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly expressed his happiness at what he saw in the interest of young people in this type of university, which confirms the validity of the government’s point of view, based on the directives of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in implementing this number of technological universities, so that we now have a large number of them, He also expressed his happiness that the number of girls in these universities is equal to the number of young men and may be greater, pointing out that the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and the Minister of Higher Education assured him of the superiority of girls in technological and technical education, and therefore he is happy with the experience, and hopes that the citizen will see the importance of this trend. .

The Prime Minister affirmed his wishes to the female and male students for success in their studies, pointing out that technological universities provide opportunities for them to complete university studies with greater job potential.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly was keen to know the opportunities that the university offers to girls, as one of the girls indicated that she is from Aswan Governorate, and that the university allows them to study the foundations of design and qualifies them for advanced stages that lead to implementation, and the university also provides programs to teach occupational safety and health, which is an important specialty. At the university, while one of the young men pointed out that the university provides young people with opportunities for practical training in workshops, and he reviewed some of the training opportunities provided by the university, in important areas that help students prepare for all opportunities and qualify them for job opportunities.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, also inspected a practical training lecture in the field of tourism and hotel services technology, in addition to passing by the laboratory and workshop building. He also inspected an exhibition of student products, and listened to an explanation from the students about some of the products, as the Minister of Higher Education directed that… Coordination with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency to provide financial and technical support for the implementation of one of the students’ projects related to recycling waste from tires and others. He also praised other projects, including a project called “Museum of Civilizations” that allows viewing of antiquities through virtual technologies, and a number of projects related to nutrition. During the tour, the university president explained that “Taiba Technological University” was established by Prime Minister’s Decision No. 2723 dated August 3, 2022 and is affiliated with the Supreme Council for Technological Education. It will be built on an area of ​​130.4 thousand square meters, with a future extension of the university’s buildings by about 10.5 thousand square meters.

Dr. Adel Zein Al-Din Musa pointed out: He pointed out that the university includes the College of Industrial and Energy Technology, and offers programs in food manufacturing technology and wood industry technology, in addition to the College of Hotel and Tourism Services Technology, which offers programs in hotel services technology, tourism and travel services technology, and the food and beverage program, adding that study at the university is based on a two-semester system. The duration of each semester is not less than 15 weeks, in addition to a week of exams. Training, field applications, and skills acquisition represent at least 60% of the academic program. The university also awards the following academic degrees: Professional Higher Diploma in Technology in Specialization, Professional Bachelor’s in Technology. In the specialty, the professional master’s degree in technology in the specialty, and the professional doctorate in technology in the specialty.

The university president added that it includes important buildings, most notably the central administration building, with a capacity to employ 2,500 students, the workshop building, laboratories, tourism offices, and the training hotel, the theater building, with a capacity to employ 370 students, faculty housing, with a capacity to employ 20 teachers, student housing with a capacity of 180 students, and housing. Female students with a capacity of 58 students.

He pointed out that the university’s components also include a restaurant and cafeteria, with a capacity of 630 people, and a mosque with a capacity of 300 worshipers. The university also contains 5 sports fields, five-a-side, basketball and multi-purpose courts. As for facilities for people of determination, each building has its own rams for entry and exit, and there are private bathrooms for them. Each building has residential rooms for male and female students and faculty members designated for people with special needs, and they also have designated paths in all university buildings.

Dr. Adel Zein Al-Din Moussa, President of the University, confirmed that the vision of “Taybah Technological University”; It represents an effective contribution to economic and social development by providing technological education with the quality and efficiency required by the labor market and achieving excellence, creativity and global leadership in a way that ensures independence, self-sufficiency and facing current and future challenges.

He added that the university aims to provide distinguished technological education through high-quality scientific programs in university education and postgraduate studies and to qualify graduates with a distinguished level of knowledge and technological creativity skills capable of competition, teamwork and innovation, achieving quality assurance and academic accreditation in accordance with internationally approved standards, and contributing effectively to meeting the needs of society. The local, regional and international labor market, and the production of scientific, technological and creative research and studies related to local and regional challenges.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, presented an aspect of the university’s activities and multiple partnerships, as he pointed out that a number of protocols and cooperation agreements had been concluded between the university and several parties, including a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Public Library in Luxor aimed at Joint cooperation to create a generation capable of challenging, developing, innovating and learning, familiar with the ancient culture and civilization of Luxor, and developing and supporting young inventors and innovators; And cooperation between the two sides in empowering people of determination and special needs, in addition to a cooperation protocol with Luxor University to maximize the maximum benefit from the capabilities of the two universities in order to participate in supporting and serving the academic and practical educational process, in accordance with the need for work in Luxor Governorate to achieve Egypt’s Sustainable Vision 2030.

A cooperation protocol was also concluded between Taibah Technological University and South Valley University aiming at cooperation between the two parties in the fields of technical, artistic and technological cooperation, as well as a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Company for the Development of Educational Technology. BEDO factory; Which aims to exchange diverse experiences and achieve integration in the research as well as marketing and production capabilities of each, in addition to concluding a cooperation protocol with the Steigenberger Ashti Hotel aimed at preparing promising generations of workers in the hotel field, stressing the university’s interest in training college students and qualifying them for the labor market in accordance with Its advanced requirements confirm the university’s primary goal, which is to graduate a distinguished, multi-skilled student qualified to work directly, by intensifying the practical aspect, which represents 60% of studies at the university.

He added: A cooperation protocol was also concluded between Taibah Technological University and Enactus Egypt with the aim of maximizing the benefit of the capabilities of both parties. To serve the expansion of disseminating the idea of ​​entrepreneurship and innovation, in addition to supporting young entrepreneurs, providing technical consultations to owners of emerging projects, and facilitating promising projects’ access to financing and investment opportunities, in addition to signing a cooperation protocol with the “Chem Tech” factory for scientific and laboratory devices. tech” with the aim of exchanging experiences by benefiting from the university’s scientific research, training university students, especially those from the Delta governorates, inside the factory and providing job opportunities for them, linking scientific research to industry and interacting with the community, and coordinating field visits to the factory headquarters in the industrial city of Baltim Center in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, in addition to A cooperation protocol with the New Urban Communities Authority (New Taiba City Development Authority) aims to enhance scientific cooperation and exchange expertise and scientific and research information in various fields, support urban development projects, promote economic development and encourage investment in urban development projects in New Taiba City.

A cooperation agreement was also signed between Taibah University of Technology and the “Hingmalha” Foundation for Sustainable Development, to enhance cooperation and joint work to spread environmental awareness through planting trees within the university, and to educate university students and urge them to participate in afforestation initiatives and campaigns as one of the axes for mitigating and adapting to the phenomenon of climate change. A cooperation protocol between Taibah University of Technology and Misr Tourism Company to provide airline ticket reservation services, tourism services, and training for university students, and a cooperation protocol between Taibah University of Technology and the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities to activate the obtaining of certificates for the basics of digital transformation.

The Vice President of the University added that a number of centers and units have been established, including the establishment of the Center for Nurturing Innovators and Geniuses at the University, which aims to establish accurate and sustainable scientific mechanisms to discover gifted, brilliant and creative students, and provide an environment that allows the gifted to highlight their abilities and develop their potential and talents, as well as working to transform the center. To be an incubator for all the talented, proficient, and creative students of the university in various colleges. The Food and Beverage Services Technology Program was also established at the College of Industrial and Energy Technology at Taibah University of Technology. It is considered one of the promising programs at the university, and studies in it began for the first time during the academic year 2023/2024 AD.
